Starry is here and so is the happier internet experience you’ve always wanted. Fast, reliable speeds; amazing customer service; and a fixed bill that’s just $50 every month.

Hard to believe but true!

This integrated marketing campaign was built to celebrate Starry’s launch in Columbus (with additional cities coming soon)—touch points included web, field, digital, print, social, OOH, TV and Radio.

Hello Starry, Goodbye Bad Internet

We love the internet—but not the overpriced bundles, confusing bills, and terrible service that come with it. So Starry built something better. This campaign says goodbye to everything customers hate about Big Internet and introduces them to Starry: lightning-fast speeds, simple pricing, and support that actually cares.

Launched across web, social, field marketing, paid digital, DM, and OOH in multiple markets, this integrated campaign was designed to turn heads, drive signups, and make “Happy Interneting” feel real.

Aereo Rebrand: TV To Go

Aereo was one of the first apps to let people watch live TV online—way ahead of its time.

When I joined, the company had already spent years in litigation with broadcasting companies, and the case was heading to the Supreme Court. With the outcome still uncertain (but plenty of positive press on our side), we saw an opportunity to relaunch the brand.

The new direction was bold, modern, and human—perfectly poised for growth. I led a complete overhaul of the app, website, and messaging, creating a platform that cord-cutters could finally rally behind.

Big steps for one small company.

CNN Grill @ SXSW

For two years running, CNN descended upon Austin, TX, during SXSW and set up shop at local favorite, Max’s Wine Dive. Located steps from the Austin Convention Center, CNN converted the space into their event broadcast center and tempted crowds with enough bar fare, Wi-Fi and plug-ins (all gratis free) to keep conference attendees “powered up” throughout the weeklong event. 

Civic Entertainment Group partnered with RED to develop event branding and design for the space including interior and exterior signage, wayfinding, wall wraps, banners, uniforms, tap handles, menus and various promotional collateral.

NFL

Miscellaneous design and identity work completed for the NFL.

Canyon of Heroes

Throughout 2012 and 2013, RED converted several street-level vacancies into a tourism campaign promoting real estate development in Lower Manhattan. 

The exhibition included a three-block-long timeline around the historic Woolworth Building, and a continuous wrap of 180 Broadway that highlighted all the ticker-tape parades from 1929 to the present.

Apollo Spring Gala

The Harlem inspired 2013 campaign expanded upon the Apollo brand (designed by Pentagram) to include "carnation" iconography and legends of Apollo past. As honorees were announced, photography was incorporated to create a buzz-worthy invitation set that literally screamed party from the first reveal.

Oldies But Goodies

From hand drawn posters, to annual reports and book jacket covers, this selection represents some of the additional clients I’ve had the pleasure of working with throughout the years. A few pieces have been published. A couple have received rewards. And despite the death of the medium, it's hard to deny:

Friday Freshmix

The Friday Freshmix was a curated playlist compiled on the last Friday of every month. At it’s height, the monthly eblast had a 90% click-through rate, and was downloaded 75% of the time.

The playlist was retired in 2013 (when I got a little too busy for side projects) but you can still find the Best of Fresh on Spotify.
